Dr Edward Nash Biography

Dr Nash qualified in medicine at University Medical and Dental Schools of Guy’s and St Thomas’ in London in 1998 and trained in respiratory medicine in the South-West of England, mostly based in Bristol. During his training he spent 12 months working as clinical fellow in Toronto, Canada, working in the largest cystic fibrosis and lung transplant units in North America.

His first NHS Respiratory Consultant post was at Birmingham Heartlands Hospital, where he worked for 12 years caring for people with a wide range of respiratory conditions including a specialist interest in people with cystic fibrosis (CF). In this post he set up the endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) service and was clinical lead for bronchoscopy, EBUS and pleural disease.

He then worked at University Hospital Coventry and Warwickshire for 2 and a half years, caring for people with a wide range of respiratory conditions and helping provide the bronchoscopy and EBUS service.

Dr Nash currently works as Consultant Respiratory Physician at George Eliot Hospital, caring for patients with general respiratory conditions including asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and lung cancer. He also helps run the lung cancer screening programme and the endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) and bronchoscopy service.

He has provided private Respiratory Clinics since 2018 and currently runs two private clinics per week at Nuffield Warwickshire Hospital.
